From April 1st 2011 Hope started providing internship programmes for people of all ages.
The Internship is designed to be a season of consecration unto the Lord. It will offer both teaching based and practical ministry based training, designed to equip and enable people for a lifetime of fruitful service to the Lord.
It is generally a six-month program, although it will be tailored to suit individual needs. In this program we aim to partner with the Holy Spirit as He orchestrates the end-time prayer movement across the earth, by equipping this generation in the place of prayer, fasting, praise and worship, and evangelism. Through the Internship, we believe God to impart the gifts of His Holy Spirit and release full-time intercessors/servants into service, both here in St Helens and around the world.
When God Told Joshua how he was going to take him into the Promised Land. Joshua went to the people and told them to consecrate themselves for tomorrow God would perform amazing deeds in their midst. At Hope we believe in the call to “Get Ready”, and to “Watch and Pray”. We know there is a great tribulation coming, however God has also revealed to us that revival is coming. God has spoken to us and requires us to fulfil the conditions laid down in 2Chronicles 7:14 “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” When God handed over the Promised Land to Joshua and the people of Israel, there were important conditions. They had to have faith that God would do it, and they had to go and take the land.
All over the UK Gods people are starting to pray. Will you pick up the mantel and put off this world in order to seek God, and His equipping?

Q, What will I be doing?
A, Praying
“Prayer Watches” 5 days per week – This will consist firstly of a minimum of a two hour period of “Closet Time” (private devotional time with the Lord, in the secret place)"But you, when you pray, go into your inner room, close your door and pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you.” (Matt 6:6) One of the main aims of the internship is to develop in the intern a way of living that will become habitual and carry them through the rest of their lives and ministry years.
Secondly there will be a time of corporate prayer. This will be held in the house of prayer and will be a minimum of three hours. As we spend proper time in the secret place with God we develop a flow of living water which becomes our own personal stream. When we then compliment that with corporate prayer, those streams come together to form a river of living water, and flow of the Holy Spirit.
A, Fasting
At Hope we believe very strongly in the biblical principle of fasting – We will provide life changing teaching on fasting, and encourage all our interns to develop a pattern of regular fasting. Through this the intern will experience an acceleration of personal holiness beyond anything they have previously experienced, and an explosion of faith which will result in the miraculous becoming the daily occurrence.
And Jesus answered and said to them, "Truly I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, 'Be taken up and cast into the sea,' it will happen.
"And all things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive." (Matt 21:21-22)
We believe whole heartedly that God desires us to move in ways that would echo the Acts of the Apostles. When fasting, apart from many other benefits, we are humbling ourselves and making God the centre of our world. When our lives begin to revolve around the Holy Spirit and His will, in humility and faith, we can then start to see the power of His manifest will evident in our lives.
A, Evangelism and Missions
roughly twice a week the interns will join other members to take part in street evangelism projects. They will be witnessing in the town centre through the giving out of tracts, one to one communication, preaching through a portable PA system and worship. Also we take the gospel door to door in the communities where we are planting churches. Although interns are not expected to be experienced and confident in all of these areas, we would expect that they would have a willing heart to try.
As God leads the interns will become part of mission teams. We take a large marquee and put on a gospel missions in this country, and also travel abroad for missions as God leads. Interns should be willing to testify, worship if gifted that way, pray and minister to individuals and generally help with the working of a mission.
A, Be a part of the local Church
At this stage there is already one local church group that has been planted through three missions held last summer. It is called “The Lighthouse Community Church”, and operates from a local community centre. The interns would become a part of this church, serving the local body of Christ, and or, be involved in planting a second church group in another part of the local area.
Where will I live?
Across the street from the House of Prayer lies a small housing estate which has some shared and none shared accomadation available. Please contact us early if you wish to live here.
What will it cost?
There is no charge for the ministry and training that each intern will receive. The work here is faith based and each full time worker trusts God for their own income.
Interns will have to be able to pay for their own accomadation and living expenses.
