Our aim is not to get members for Hope, as if it was an alternative church, but to get members of every church praying together.  Mark 11:17 Then he began to teach them and said, "Is it not written: ‘My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations’"?

Hope is a 24/7 House of prayer in the making. We believe that Prayer must be the priority when serving God.  It is the foundation to any work; in fact we would say that you cannot do any real fruitful work without it.  Faith is the key to a powerful ministry; however faith comes from hearing God's word. How then if prayer is communication with God, can we hear the word of God without prayer of some sort.

The bible says pray continuously so we do. All other works that are done come out of prayer. All the ministries of Hope were born out of us listening to God and obeying His commandments. Below is a brief description of the things we are doing at present.

We are currently trusting God to develope a new site for the House of Prayer.  The garage which is attached to the house as seen on the home page, is being converted into a purpose built prayer room. At this stage and hopefully not in the distant future we will be transforming the current opperation of the prayer house.

At the moment all our meetings are corporate prayer times similar to a church prayer meeting.  When we have this new facility we will be able to open the doors of the prayer house full time.  It will be both a place of corporate prayer and private closset prayer and intercession. We will begin by opening the prayer room for 12 hours a day and manning it for as much of that time as possible between us current volunteers. Eventually we will go into stage two which will be an increase upto 24 hours as soon as possible.  Part of this continual prayer vision is a vision for continual fasting. We believe very much in the power of Prayer and Fasting. Between us we seperate the week into days and create a chain fast that goes round the clock 24/7.  The bible shows us clearly that whenever God called a people group to humble themselves they began to fast. We hold dear to the promise given us by God in the verse below. And are encouraged that whenever people obeyed the LORD and did this He forgave, and blessed them.

A new ministry developing at the moment is a street based evangelism outreach programme, done mainly in the late evenings and aimed towards homeless people. Addicts and prostitutes in perticular.  We will be taking a minibus out with a team of people who will distribute food and drink to those in need and obviously the good news of the gospel.
